Bunmi was born in Lagos Nigeria as first of five children to Mr. And Mrs. Dada. She began her musical journey at childhood in the Christ Apostolic Church Children choir where she was first given the opportunity to perform a rendition titled, “Jesus loves me this I know”.
She obtained her secondary education at Notredame Girls’ Secondary School Oro Kwara state Nigeria. While at Notredame, She joined the school’s choir and took part in several musical concerts.
She proceeded to the federal college of education (special) Oyo where she studied Theatre arts. Despite her physical challenge, she was very active at the department. She featured in stage performances like: ‘The dark tunnel’ where she acted as an immigration officer, ‘esu and the vagabond minstrels’ where she acted as one of the villagers; to mention but a few.
Bunmi is not only a singer but also a song writer as she writes all her songs. She was a member of the Redeemed Campus Fellowship Choir federal college of education special chapter where she performed both on and outside the campus.
She wrote a song for “Nigeria at fifty” titled God bless Nigeria, which she performed at an independence party organised by a multinational Company in Lagos.
As a Singer, her music inspires all who listens to it and has changed a great number of lives. As a song writer, she draws inspiration from all her experiences in life and the challenges she had encountered and conquered.
Bunmi released her first Musical Album: ‘Damilare’ in 2005 and she is about to release her next Album titled: ‘Alive’ Produced by Cobhams Asuquo and Tolucci. This Album is featuring three artists: Bata Gospel singer/Bisi Adunbarin in ‘Mo
orun, Cobhams and Joan in ‘Alive and Tolucci in ‘Alabar.
Bunmi believes that with God on her side, she has no limit.
