The All Blacks have taken the Rugby World Cup trophy to New Zealand's second-largest city of Christchurch, which was stripped of its World Cup matches after a February earthquake which left 182 dead.
Thousands of fans turned out at Hagley Park near the still cordoned-off central city to greet the team which beat France 8-7 in Sunday's final to win the World Cup for the first time in 24 years.
Christchurch was to have hosted seven Cup matches, including two quarter-finals, but was forced to give up those games when its main stadium was damaged in the 6.3 magnitude quake which hit the city on February 22.

Coach Graham Henry, captain Richie McCaw, injured superstar Dan Carter and the rest of the victorious squad savoured the acclaim from the adoring crowd as the procession wound its way through the streets.
After Christchurch was hit by the quake tournament organisers were forced to relocate the seven games scheduled to be played there and inform sides that they could not have their bases in the city.
England were instead based in Auckland, Dunedin and Queenstown, with the former acting as their principal base.

Around 250,000 people had flooded onto the streets of downtown Auckland on Monday to celebrate the end of the All Blacks' 24-year World Cup drought.
With Monday a public holiday in New Zealand, the collective hangover of the country's largest city was still palpable on the streets as thousands of people gathered early for the victors' parade, mixing with stragglers making their way home from late-night festivities.
Crowds were banked 20-deep in places along the parade's route in central Auckland as the procession kicked off at 2:30pm local time with players, coaches and support staff ferried along city streets in a convoy of open-deck utility vehicles.
24 years of hurt: New Zealand ended a long wait to win the big prize

You would have thought Mario Balotelli would be the last person you'd want to front a firework safety campaign.
But that is exactly what has happened in the latest chapter of Madcap Mario.
Leading the way: Mario Balotelli is fronting the campaign
Balotelli was forced to escape a blaze at his £3million rented house the day before Manchester City's epic 6-1 victory at Old Trafford on Sunday.
Fire crews and police rushed to Balotelli’s five-bedroomed home in a select area of Cheshire after a blaze started when fireworks were let off in the bathroom at 1am on Saturday morning.
Balotelli is udnerstood to have told club officials that he and four friends had been letting off fireworks through an open window at the house, which had been advertised for rent at £7,500 a month.
Bathroom towels were set on fire and the blaze spread but Balotelli has insisted that he did not cause the fire and that the offending firework was let off by his friends.
Centre of attention: Balotelli is mobbed at Manchester United
Yet, despite being at the centre of the latest off-field misdemeanour, Balotelli is the new face to promote safety ahead of next month's displays.
He said: 'The newspapers got the story wrong about me and the fire at my house. I didn’t set any fireworks off, it was a friend of mine. I didn’t know anything about it until I heard the shouting coming from the bathroom.
'Luckily, nobody was injured, and my friend apologised to me for the damage to my house. It was a really stupid thing for him to do, someone could have been really hurt, and I was really, really angry with him about it.
'It is important message that children should not mess with fireworks. They can be very dangerous if they are not used in the right way. People should follow the firework code.'
A new campaign - TREACLE - has been launched in Manchester to give information about enjoying fireworks in a safe manner. More detail on the firework code and of local organised bonfire events is available on www.safe4autumn.com
