C4,born Benjamin S. Ahire in 1987 in Samaru Zaria to struggling parents,C4 fell in love with music at a very tender age.As a kid still schooling at the Ahmadu Bello University Staff Primary School in Zaria,he heard rap and reggae tunes from his uncle and elder sibling and was instantly hooked.
He had always been a fan of Hip Hop,but only grabbed a pen and pad when he listened to “it aint hard to tell-Nas and Crossroads-Bone Thugs n Harmony,on a tape belonging to his sister.Those two tracks helped usher in the game one of Nigerias illest mixtape underground mc’s.

I LOVE IT-C4

His family left Zaria when he was still very young back home to Makurdi,Benue state,where he found himself surrounded by a different youth culture from that up north.Needless to say,he got caught up in those vices.
In Government science secondary school pyakasa Abuja where he schooled,he teamed up with Francis ‘Franky Fanatic’ Adams to start up a rap group,The zodiac thugs with C4 as Cancer or C.This was short lived however,as C4 got expelled from school and went back home to Mak-town(Makurdi).

MID-CITY BOY – C4

When he returned home to Mak-town,he decided he had nursed his skills enough and could now survive as a solo underground artist.
In 2005 he recorded his 1st solo track “Hit em Hard”(which was a low quality home recording),but was received warmly by mak-towns underground community.
He has since then recorded an arsenal of tracks.Currently based in London,he is in the studio working on his mixtape,Da Classified Files with features from fellow underground heavyweights like,Big Faz a.k.a Fazillion(meyer lansky ent.),Mista dry gin,Strokez(Code red ent),Melodee and Franky Fanatic,(Certified dope boy Records).Sporting more than 20 tracks,its set to be released this winter,online and in stores,home and abroad.
