I am one Nigerian that does not care if 10 or more successive Presidents are Ijaws, Yorubas, …….etc, as long as they are the best qualified to govern us and they have won in elections that were free and fair. Part of our myopic , retrogressive views is this idea of regional rotation of the Presidency..
I am very proud to let Lucas know that in my High School, Christ’s School Ado-Ekiti, Ibos, Ijaws etc were made Senior Prefects on the basis of their levels of competence and proven leadership prowess. This was in a school that was at least 95% predominantly Yorubas.

Let us build a Nation where we are ready to pick our leaders based on their track-record of proven exemplenary motivational leadership skills , competence and vision. I don’t hold any grudge against an Ijaw or any Nigerian becoming the President, but we will never be a great nation if parochial or tribal interests are the yardstick for selecting our leaders.
